Bail is granted to the applicant subject to stringent conditions.

Summary

The High Court considered a bail application filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, in connection with offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Information Technology Act and the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors Act. The applicant, Suraj Thansigh Jadhav, was alleged to have received Rs.31,91,069 in a corporate account and was arrested on 10 March 2026. The prosecution demanded that the applicant deposit 50% of the amount as a condition for bail, which the applicant complied with by producing a demand draft of Rs.15,95,535. The court, satisfied with the applicant's demonstrated bonafides, granted bail subject to a personal bond, sureties, reporting requirements, residence restrictions, and non‑interference with witnesses. The order expressly limited its observations to bail and reserved the trial for adjudication on the merits of the evidence.
