NITIN DATTATRAYA INGALEversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The court held that the stated amount was a clerical error and ordered the correction of the original order.

Summary

The applicant, Nitin Dattatraya Ingale, filed a bail application before the Bombay High Court, Aurangabad Bench. After the order dated 18 March 2026 was pronounced, the applicant’s counsel pointed out that the order incorrectly recorded the amount of alleged bribe as Rs.80,000 instead of the correct Rs.8,00,000. The court examined the claim of a clerical mistake and found merit in the correction. Consequently, the court directed that the original order be amended to reflect the correct figure and that the corrected order be uploaded. The motion for correction was therefore disposed of.
