Bombay High Court

PRAJYOT DIPAK PAWARversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND ANR.

Disposal
Disposed off as Withdrawn

Holding

The court allowed the applicant to withdraw the pending bail application.

Summary

The applicant, a 24‑year‑old accused, applied for bail in a case registered under sections 332, 125, 324(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and sections 3 and 4 of the Explosive Substances Act, 1908. The State counsel informed the court that the investigation was nearly complete and the charge‑sheet would be filed within ten days. The applicant then sought permission to withdraw the pending bail application and to file a fresh bail petition after the charge‑sheet is filed. The court, relying on the State’s statement, granted leave to withdraw the present bail application. It directed that any fresh bail application be dealt with expeditiously by the trial court. Consequently, the bail application was disposed of as withdrawn.
