Bombay High Court

THE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA THROUGH ITS SECRETARY AND ANOTHERversusANUSHKA NAGRAJ NATKARE

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The Court extended the time by four weeks to allow the committee to pronounce its judgment.

Summary

The State of Maharashtra filed a civil application seeking an extension of time to pronounce judgment in a validity proceeding against Anushka Natkare. The High Court had earlier, on 8 June 2026, directed the committee to decide the proceedings by the end of July 2026. The applicants argued that heavy pendency and multiple similar matters prevented the committee from completing its task within the prescribed period, and although the proceedings were concluded, the judgment remained undelivered. The Court considered whether the procedural delay warranted a further extension. It granted an additional four‑week extension from the date of the order, thereby allowing the committee more time to pronounce its judgment. Consequently, the civil application was disposed of after the extension was ordered.
