EKNATH BHAGUJI BHANGE AND ORSversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND ANR

Disposal
Admitted/Allowed/Granted/Rule Absolute

Holding

The court held that the petitioners' explanation for the fourteen‑day delay was satisfactory, and therefore the delay was condoned.

Summary

The petitioners, Eknath Bhaguji Bhange and others, filed civil applications seeking condonation of a fourteen‑day delay in preferring their appeals. The applications were filed under Civil Application Nos. 2160 of 2021 and 2163 of 2021 in the Bombay High Court, Aurangabad Bench. The primary issue before the court was whether the petitioners' explanation for the delay was sufficient to merit condonation. The bench, after reviewing the explanations, found them satisfactory and therefore granted condonation of the delay. Consequently, the court ordered that the appeals be registered and the civil applications be disposed of.
