The Court set aside the Registrar’s order refusing registration of the writ petition.
Summary
The petitioners, All Sisters Education and Welfare Society, filed a civil application seeking to set aside the Registrar (Judicial)’s order dated 20‑04‑2026 which refused registration of their writ petition on the ground that office objections had not been removed. The petitioners claimed that they had intended to remove the objections within two weeks but failed to do so due to inadvertence, leading to the refusal of registration. The learned counsel argued that the refusal was improper and that the petition should be allowed to proceed. The Court examined whether the Registrar’s order could be set aside in view of the petitioners’ undertaking to comply with the objections. Finding no substantive reason to uphold the refusal, the Court allowed the civil application as per prayer clause “B”, effectively setting aside the Registrar’s order. Consequently, the writ petition may now be registered and proceed.
