Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The Court allowed the petitioner to withdraw the deposited amount with interest.

Summary

The petitioner, Rangnath Fakira Wagh and others, filed a civil application seeking permission to withdraw Rs.18,11,656 deposited by the State of Maharashtra in the High Court of Bombay pursuant to earlier orders dated 07.04.2026 and 31.07.2026. The State had deposited the amount in the court as directed in a writ petition and a related civil application. The petitioner argued that, based on the e‑statement of an award dated 22.02.2022, the amount along with interest should be released to his bank account. The Court examined the application and found no legal impediment to the withdrawal. Consequently, the Court allowed the application, directing the withdrawal of the principal sum with interest and ordering necessary corrections within two weeks.
