Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The contempt petition is dismissed as there is no ground for contempt.

Summary

Bhau Saheb Sukhdeo Thorat filed Contempt Petition No. 417 of 2020 arising out of Writ Petition No. 1239 of 2018 against the State of Maharashtra and others. The State’s Additional Government Pleader, Mrs. M.N. Ghanekar, relied on an affidavit‑in‑reply of respondent No. 5 and the petitioner’s service book to show that the petitioner was already receiving gratuity, G.P.F., leave encashment and pensionary benefits. The Court examined this evidence and concluded that there was no basis for a contempt claim. Consequently, the petition was found to have no surviving ground and was disposed of. The judgment therefore dismisses the contempt petition.
