Bombay High Court
Yashoda so Daulat KoliversusThe Secretary, Tribal Development Department
- Disposal
- DISPOSED OFF
Holding
The petition is disposed as there is no surviving relief after the petitioner’s tribal claim was rejected.
Summary
The petitioner, Yashoda So Daulat Koli, filed a continuous petition seeking relief against the Secretary, Tribal Development Department, alleging that her tribal claim had not been decided. The learned Additional Government Pleader (AGP) had earlier assured the court that the claim would be decided on 21 August 2026. On 21 August, the AGP informed the court that the tribal claim was actually decided on 18 August 2026 and was rejected. Since the claim was dismissed, the petitioner had no remaining relief to pursue. Consequently, the court held that nothing survived in the petition and ordered it to be disposed.
