Holding

The petition was disposed as the government had complied with the court's order under contempt.

Summary

In Contempt Petition No. 528 of 2012, the petitioners sought enforcement of a prior court order directing the government to grant approval to a proposal. The government, through an affidavit-in-reply, affirmed that it had taken the required decision as per the court's direction. The bench examined the affidavit and found that the order under contempt had been complied with. Consequently, the court held that there was no longer any ground for the contempt petition. The petition was therefore disposed of.
