Holding
The contempt petition was disposed of on the basis of the compliance affidavit submitted by the Zilla Parishad.
Summary
The petitioners filed a contempt petition arising from Writ Petition No. 1593 of 2021, alleging non‑compliance by the Zilla Parishad with an earlier order dated 10 August 2022. The Zilla Parishad submitted a compliance affidavit stating that advance increments had been sanctioned for 92 proposals and that the remaining 86 petitioners were given seven days to submit required documents, after which a decision would be made. The Court, after taking the affidavit on record, found that the petitioners had been afforded the opportunity to comply and therefore disposed of the contempt petition. The judgment noted that the petitioners could still challenge any subsequent order passed by the Zilla Parishad. No further directions were issued.
