The court held that the interim contempt order was complied with and ordered the release of the Rs. 75,000 cost amount to Deepstambh Foundation.

Summary

The High Court entertained a suo‑moto contempt petition (No. 94 of 2003) filed by the Additional Registrar against the Secretary, Guru Maharaj Shikshan Prasark and others. The court noted that the interim contempt order dated 09‑01‑2007 had been complied with and the main writ petition was already disposed. It further observed that the Education Department, Zilla Parishad, Beed had deposited Rs. 75,000 as cost amount with the court. The court directed that this amount be released to Deepstambh Foundation, Jalgaon for the education of children maintained by the foundation. Accordingly, the petition was disposed with a specific order to deposit the funds in the foundation’s ICICI Bank account.
