ALIJAH FERNANDES AND 2 ORSversusSTATE OF GOA THR THE INVESTIGATING OFFICER REPRESENTED BY THE PUBLIC PROSECUTOR

Disposal
Disposed of

Holding

The Court condoned the 36‑day delay in filing the criminal revision.

Summary

The applicants, Alijah Fernandes and two others, filed a Criminal Miscellaneous Application seeking condonation of a 36‑day delay in filing a Criminal Revision beyond the statutory limitation period. The revision was filed after the prescribed time, and the applicants argued that sufficient cause existed for condoning the delay. The Court examined the reasons provided in the application and found them satisfactory. Accordingly, the Court allowed the application, condoning the delay and ordering the matter to stand over for a final hearing on 23‑October‑2026. The Court also disposed of CRMA No. 210 of 2026 and directed that the order be digitally signed and communicated by fax or email.
