The appeals are disposed of in view of the settlement terms dated 24 January 2024.

Summary

The appellants in two first appeals (FA/228/1998 and FA/229/1998) challenged matters relating to the administration of People’s Education Society, Taloda, Dhule. Both parties informed the court that the dispute had been amicably settled by a settlement dated 24 January 2024, which had been fully implemented, including the conduct of fresh elections. The counsel for both sides prayed that the appeals be disposed of in accordance with the settlement terms. The Court accepted the settlement, held that the terms constituted part of the order, and consequently disposed of both appeals. No further adjudication on the merits was required.
