Bombay High Court
STATE OF MAHAversusBHALCHANDRA VISHWAMBHARRAO JAWALE
- Disposal
- PARTLY ALLOWED AND PARTLY DISMISSED
Holding
The court ordered that the minutes be corrected to insert the reference to ‘section 28 of the Act’ and that the corrected order be uploaded.
Summary
The State of Maharashtra appealed a conviction of Nilkantrao Apparão Patil, and a subsequent order dated 24‑08‑2026 was issued by the Bombay High Court. The respondent’s counsel, Mr. S.V. Mundhe, moved the court to correct the minutes of that order, pointing out that the words ‘under section 28 of the Act’ were omitted after the term ‘interest’ in paragraph 5 and clause (ii) of the operative part. The bench, after considering the submission, held that the omission was a clerical error that required correction. Accordingly, the court ordered that the order be amended to insert the missing reference to section 28 and that the corrected version be uploaded. The motion for correction was therefore disposed of.
