The Court granted a ten‑week extension to the State for compliance with the directions dated 08 July 2026.
Summary
The State of Maharashtra filed an interim application seeking an extension of time to comply with the court's order dated 08 July 2026 in Writ Petition No. 9673 of 2019, which had given the Respondent four weeks to decide the representation preferred by the petitioner and to inform the petitioner of any monetary recovery. The State argued that there was no deliberate delay and that additional time was needed to complete mandatory administrative steps. After hearing both sides, the Court granted a further ten‑week period from 24 August 2026 for the State to implement the directions. Both parties were ordered to appear before the Commissioner of Social Welfare in Pune on 27 August 2026. The interim application was disposed of, and the parties were directed to act upon an authenticated copy of the order.
