The court ordered that the interim order be corrected to include the name of the second applicant and to amend clause (ii) as prayed, with the remainder of the order left unchanged.

Summary

The applicants, Chandrakant Purshottamdas Todi and Kapil Chandrakit Todi, filed an interim application seeking renewal of a passport. The order dated 1 September 2026 mentioned only the first applicant, omitting the second applicant's name throughout the document. The applicants prayed for a correction to insert the name of the second applicant wherever "Applicant" appears and to amend clause (ii) to direct both applicants to file an application before the Passport Authority. The Court examined whether such a procedural correction could be made without altering the substantive content of the order. Finding no objection, the Court directed that the order be corrected accordingly while leaving the rest of the order unchanged. The precipe was thereafter disposed.
