The revision application is disposed of as infructuous due to the parties' settlement and mutual consent divorce.
Summary
The husband (Applicant) and wife (Respondent) reached a mutual consent divorce settlement, agreeing that the earlier maintenance and compensation order dated 14 September 2022 was no longer applicable. The Applicant, through counsel, moved the Criminal Revision Application to have the order set aside, arguing that the case had become infructuous. The Court examined the settlement and found that the parties’ agreement rendered the pending revision moot. Consequently, the Court disposed of the Criminal Revision Application and all related pending applications. The decision effectively nullified the maintenance and compensation obligations previously imposed on the husband.
