Holding

The court, by indulgence, granted a further two‑week extension but barred any further extensions.

Summary

The State of Maharashtra, acting as the applicant, filed an interim application seeking a further two‑week extension to comply with a court order dated 28 July 2026. The request was based on additional remarks received from the Sangli Agriculture Produce Market Committee on 7 and 10 September 2026, which were not anticipated when the previous extension was granted. The respondents, the APMC, opposed the request, arguing that the original two‑week period and one prior extension should suffice. The bench, exercising discretion and citing the recent receipt of remarks, granted the further two‑week extension but warned that no additional time would be allowed. Consequently, the interim application was allowed, and the directions of the earlier order were extended accordingly.
