The Court allowed the amendment of the writ petition as there was no serious objection from the respondents.

Summary

The petitioner, Krishnan Venkateswaran Srinivasan, filed Writ Petition No.1801/2026 before the Bombay High Court. An order in the petition was served on the petitioner, prompting a request to amend the petition, its prayer clause, and memorandum. The petitioner’s senior counsel sought leave to amend, while the respondents raised no serious objection. The Court examined whether the amendment could be permitted despite the service of the order. Finding no substantive impediment and noting the respondents’ lack of objection, the Court allowed the interim application and granted leave to amend the writ petition within a week. The amended petition is to be served on the respondents, and the interim application was thereafter disposed.
