GANESH NARAYAN INGALEversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA

Disposal
Disposed Off

Holding

The court granted condonation of the 40‑day delay and admitted the appeal.

Summary

Ganesh Narayan Ingale, convicted by the trial court, filed an interim application seeking condonation of a 40‑day delay in filing his appeal against the conviction. The applicant was represented by Advocate Shivaji S. Bankar, while the State of Maharashtra was represented by Advocate Pankaj Deokar. After hearing both sides, the Bombay High Court, Kolhapur Bench, allowed the condonation application as prayed. Consequently, the court admitted the criminal appeal (CR. Appeal ST No. 3498 of 2026) and ordered that notice be issued to the State, which the State’s counsel waived. The court also directed that the trial court’s call records, proceedings, and paper‑book be produced for the appeal. No substantive merits of the conviction were decided in this order.
