The Court allowed a further four‑week extension for the execution of the P.R. bond, modifying the earlier orders accordingly.

Summary

The applicant, Abdulgani Ibrahim Patel, had been released on bail in a Special POCSO case on the condition of furnishing a P.R. bond of Rs.25,000 with sureties. An earlier interim application (No. 1055 of 2024) granted him time to execute the bond, which was later extended by eight weeks through order dated 22 July 2025. The applicant was unable to comply within the extended period and, through counsel, sought a further four‑week extension, which was unopposed by the State. The Court considered the applicant's difficulty and the bail conditions, and allowed the request, modifying the earlier orders to permit the additional four weeks for bond execution. The order also reiterated that the applicant must furnish the sureties within the new period and that the rest of the earlier order remains unchanged. The interim application was consequently disposed of as allowed.
