The court held that, since the petitioner did not object, the applicant’s request for intervention was allowed.

Summary

Mr. Mohit Mishra filed an interim application seeking to intervene in Writ Petition No. 459 of 2026 filed by Tech Mahindra Ltd. before the Bombay High Court. The court examined the application and noted that the petitioner, Tech Mahindra Ltd., did not oppose the proposed intervention. Relying on its inherent powers to allow parties to join proceedings when it is just and convenient, the court permitted the applicant’s intervention. It directed that the pleadings be amended within a week to include the applicant and that the added respondent file a reply affidavit. The interim application was thereafter disposed of, and the court scheduled the matter for admission on 28 September 2026, while retaining earlier ad‑interim orders.
