The court restored Arbitration Proceedings No. 885 of 2026, subject to compliance with the office objections by a specified date and payment of costs.
Summary
Ram Sinh M. Jadeja filed a miscellaneous civil application seeking restoration of Arbitration Proceedings No. 885 of 2026 after the original application was dismissed for failure to remove office objections within the prescribed time. The applicant’s counsel, Mr. A. Carvalho, argued that the non‑compliance was inadvertent and requested the court to reinstate the arbitration. The court noted the applicant’s inability to meet the deadline but considered the merits of the request. It ordered the restoration of the arbitration proceedings on the condition that the office objections be complied with by 29 September 2026 and that a cost of Rs. 2,000 be paid to the Goa High Court Bar Association. The court then disposed of the miscellaneous civil application itself.
