Summary

Virsen Dhotre filed a public interest litigation challenging a Government Resolution dated 7 June 2006 that leased government lands to Shivaji Aaroghya Seva Santha. The petitioner alleged grievance over the lease but failed to appear before the court at any stage. The court noted the passage of time and the petitioner's lack of interest in prosecuting the case. Consequently, the court dismissed the PIL on the ground of non‑prosecution. No substantive examination of the lease's legality was undertaken.

                                    Date : September 7, 2026.
P. C. :

1. None appears for the Petitioner. Even on the last occasion, none

had appeared for the Petitioner.

2. Perusal of the PIL petition would indicate that the Petitioner is

aggrieved by Government Resolution dated 7th June 2006, leasing out

Government lands to the Respondent No.1. It appears that in view of

the passage of time, the Petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the

PIL petition. The PIL petition stands dismissed for non prosecution.
