DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The criminal revision application was disposed because the settlement eliminated the cause of action.

Summary

The petitioners filed a criminal revision application challenging an earlier criminal proceeding. Both parties engaged in court‑ordered mediation, and a settlement was reached with the mediator’s assistance. The court noted that the settlement extinguished the cause of action underlying the revision. Consequently, the court disposed of the criminal revision application, stating that the related criminal application also no longer survived. The judgment emphasizes the effect of a mediated settlement on pending criminal proceedings.
