PARIVARTAN SEVA BHAVI SANSTHA GULKHAND THR ITS PRESIDENT AND ORSversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA THR ITS SECRETARY AND OTHERS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The Court directs the respondent to decide the remanded proceedings and the petitioners' representations on merit within the stipulated periods.

Summary

The petitioners, represented by Parivartan Seva Bhavi Sanstha, sought relief from the State of Maharashtra regarding proceedings that had been remanded by the Divisional Commissioner on 29 September 2025. The High Court examined whether the State authority should be compelled to decide the remanded matters and the petitioners' representations within a reasonable time. The Court found no impediment to directing the respondent to act and ordered it to decide the remanded proceedings on its own merit within six weeks of receiving the order. Additionally, the Court directed the respondent to adjudicate the specific representations filed by petitioners No.2 and No.3 within eight weeks. The order thus provides a time‑bound directive to the State authority to resolve the pending administrative matters.
