RAJANI SITARAM CHAUDHARIversusTHE STATE OF MAHARSHTRA THROUGH ITS SECRETARY AND ORS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The petition is dismissed and the petitioner is directed to approach the Grievance Redressal Committee.

Summary

Petitioner Rajani Sitaram Chaudhari filed a writ petition challenging actions of the State of Maharashtra. The Court examined whether the grievance fell within the jurisdiction of the Grievance Redressal Committee created under a Government Resolution dated 27 March 2024. Relying on its earlier decision in Writ Petition No. 10806 of 2024, the Court held that the matter should be dealt with by that Committee. Consequently, the writ petition was disposed of, directing the petitioner to approach the Committee for relief. The order also directed the Committee to consider the grievance expeditiously in light of the Court’s prior decision.

Issues considered

  • Whether the writ petition is maintainable before this Court or should be referred to the Grievance Redressal Committee constituted under the 2024 Government Resolution
