Holding
The court disposed of both writ petitions, one on the basis of a settlement consent order and the other as a withdrawn petition.
Summary
The petitioners, legal heirs of the deceased Gulam Farid Khan, and Tata Motors Limited entered into a full and final settlement of the disputes arising in Writ Petition No.1027 of 2009. Tata Motors agreed to pay Rs.6,00,000 to the heirs, and a demand draft was handed to the petitioners' counsel. The parties executed consent terms, which were signed and recorded in court, with one petitioner giving consent via email. The court accepted the consent terms as undertakings and disposed of Writ Petition No.1027 of 2009 on that basis. In the related Writ Petition No.4012 of 2005, the petitioner’s counsel sought to withdraw the petition, and the court disposed of it as withdrawn.
