The petitioners must be scrutinized within four weeks to determine eligibility and quantum of any amount due, with reimbursement if entitled and communication of reasons if not.

Summary

Nobel International School, through its chairman, filed a writ petition seeking reimbursement of a claimed amount from the Union of India and other respondents. The Court noted that the matter is governed by a prior order dated 16 October 2023 of the Coordinate Bench of the same High Court in Writ Petition No.2819 of 2021 (Om Shri Laxmi‑Narayan Vidya Mandir v. State of Maharashtra). Relying on that precedent, the Court directed that the petitioners be examined by the concerned authority within four weeks to determine their eligibility and the quantum of any amount due. If the petitioners are found entitled, the amount shall be reimbursed; if not, the reasons for denial must be communicated. The petition was thereafter disposed of.
