The court directed the respondents to examine the reimbursement claim on its merits and to decide within four weeks, with reimbursement to be paid if entitlement is established.
Summary
The Royal Education Society Latur filed a writ petition seeking reimbursement of fees for the 25% of students admitted under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. The petition relied on a prior order dated 18‑04‑2026 in Writ Petition No. 4127/2026, which dealt with a similar issue. The High Court directed the respondents to independently scrutinise the petitioner's reimbursement proposal on its merits and to decide within four weeks of receiving a copy of the order. If the petitioners are found entitled, the court ordered that the reimbursement be disbursed within a further four weeks. The petition was therefore disposed with these directions.
