Bombay High Court
SANJAY BABANRAO PANDE AND OTHERSversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS
- Disposal
- DISPOSED OFF
Holding
The petition stands disposed as there is nothing left to adjudicate.
Summary
The petitioners, Sanjay Babanrao Pandey and others, filed a criminal writ petition challenging two notices dated 14 July 2022 and 20 July 2022 that were issued to call them for explanations. The petition sought relief under prayer clause B, questioning the legality and procedural validity of those notices. The Court observed that the petition was limited to the challenge of the notices and that, over time, the petition had become stale with no substantive relief remaining. Consequently, the Court held that there was nothing left to adjudicate. The petition was therefore disposed of without any order granting the relief sought.

DATED : 22/09/2026
Per Court:
. Though the learned counsel holding for Mr. Bagal seeks time
to take instructions, but after going through the record, it appears
that the petition is being entertained only in respect of prayer
clause-B, under which the notices dated 14.07.2022 and
20.07.2022 are challenged, which were issued for calling
explanations.
2. However, it appears that with the passage of time, nothing
survives in this petition and accordingly, it stands disposed of.
