The petitioners must submit representation with necessary documents to Respondent No.4, which will decide their entitlement and, if found eligible, confer the benefits within the prescribed time limits.
Summary
The petitioners, Nafs Pashamiya and Maheboob Bee, filed writ petitions before the Bombay High Court seeking pensionary and service benefits from the State of Maharashtra and Respondent No.4. The Court examined whether the petitioners were entitled to such benefits and what procedural steps were required for adjudication. It held that the petitioners must first file a detailed representation with supporting documents before Respondent No.4. The Court directed that the representation be filed within two weeks of receipt of the order, after which Respondent No.4 must decide within four weeks and, if entitlement is established, confer the benefits within eight weeks. No substantive merits were decided; the matter was remanded for further proceedings.
