Holding

The petition is disposed of, with Respondent No. 6 directed to decide the petitioner’s proposal within six weeks.

Summary

The petitioner, Ratnamala Gulabrao Chavade, filed a writ petition seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to enable her full‑time librarian post on the Shalarth portal under the 7th Pay Commission and to release her pending salary for the probation period. Respondent No. 7, in its affidavit, acknowledged that the petitioner had successfully completed her probation and had forwarded proposals for her inclusion in the Shalarth portal to Respondent No. 6. The school authorities claimed to have completed all formalities and submitted the necessary documents. The Court observed that the petitioner’s grievance was essentially redressed and that the purpose of the petition was fulfilled. Consequently, the Court disposed of the petition, directing Respondent No. 6 to decide on the petitioner’s proposal within six weeks of receiving the order.
