Disposal
Allowed To be withdrawn

Holding

The court may correct clerical errors in its orders, and the appearance column was accordingly amended to include the omitted advocate.

Summary

The petitioner, Sujeet S. Deshmukh, moved the court to correct the appearance column of an order dated 20 February 2026, which inadvertently omitted the name of Advocate Vikrant Shinde who appeared for Respondent No. 7. The court examined whether such a clerical correction could be made under its inherent powers. It held that the court may amend its orders to rectify typographical or clerical errors without affecting the substantive content. Accordingly, the appearance column was amended to include Mr. Vikrant Shinde’s name. The corrected order now stands as the operative order.
