1. The Chief Officer, Sanguem Municipal Council has remained
present in person and filed a reply and compliance report in
which he has stated that an amount of Rs.55,67,820/- has been
deposited in EDC Ltd. vide cheque dated 09.09.2026. This
amount has been deposited as per the calculation submitted by
the Land Acquisition Officer, which is annexed at Annexure 'A'

of the reply, under communication dated 28.08.2026 to the
Chief Officer.
2. The Land Acquisition Officer, Quepem, shall now release, to
the 6 Petitioners in equal proportion, the deposited sum. The
LAO shall remit the amounts to the Petitioners into the
