The Court directed the State to independently scrutinize the fee‑reimbursement proposals of the petitioners and, if found eligible, to disburse the amounts within the stipulated periods.
Summary
Several educational trusts filed writ petitions seeking reimbursement of fees paid for students admitted under the Right to Education Act. The petitions questioned whether they were eligible for such reimbursement and asked the State to examine their proposals. The Court noted that the matter was already decided in Writ Petition No.6307 of 2026 and therefore applied that precedent. It ordered the State to independently scrutinize each petitioner's proposal on its merits and to make a decision within four weeks of receiving the order. If any petitioner is found eligible, the Court directed that the reimbursement be paid within an additional four weeks.

- Whether the educational trusts are eligible for reimbursement of fees under the Right to Education Act
