The petitions are disposed of by directing the State to independently scrutinize the petitioners' reimbursement proposals and, if found eligible, to disburse the fees within four weeks.
Summary
Several educational trusts filed writ petitions seeking reimbursement of fees paid for students admitted under the Right to Education Act. The petitions questioned whether they were eligible for such reimbursement. The Court noted that the matter had been previously decided in Writ Petition No.6307 of 2026 and therefore ordered the State to independently scrutinize each petitioner's proposal on its merits. The State was directed to complete this scrutiny within four weeks of receiving the order and, if eligibility was established, to disburse the reimbursement within a further four weeks. The petitions were consequently disposed of with these directions.
