Bombay High Court

SUCHITA KAILASH NAVTAKKEversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA THR ITS SECRETARY AND OTHERS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The petitioner must first approach the Grievance Redressal Committee constituted under the 27.03.2024 Government Resolution, and the writ petition is disposed of.

Summary

The petitioner, Suchita Kailash Navtakke, filed a writ petition challenging an order dated 08.08.2026 passed by Respondent No.2. The Court noted that the petitioner has an alternate statutory remedy under the Government Resolution dated 27.03.2024, which establishes a Grievance Redressal Committee. Accordingly, the Court held that the petitioner should first approach this Committee for relief. The Court granted the petitioner liberty to file a grievance before the Committee and directed that the Committee decide the matter in light of the Court's earlier decision in Writ Petition No. 13407 of 2023. The petition was therefore disposed of, with the direction that the Committee act expeditiously. No substantive merits of the original order were examined as the matter was remitted to the alternative forum.
