Summary

Sanved filed a writ petition (No. 12025 of 2026) against the State of Maharashtra. The petition raised a question of jurisdiction, specifically whether the Aurangabad Bench of the High Court should hear the matter, given the involvement of the Scheduled Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Kinwat. The Court examined the prayer and the presence of the Committee and concluded that the Aurangabad Bench is the appropriate forum. Accordingly, the Court ordered the transfer of the petition to the Aurangabad Bench. The order was signed by Justices Firdosh P. Pooniwalla and R.I. Chagla on 8 September 2026.
