Summary

Dhiraj Digambar Kanlod filed a writ petition challenging actions of the State of Maharashtra. The petition raised the question of which bench of the Bombay High Court had jurisdiction to hear the matter, especially in view of the involvement of the Scheduled Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Kinwat. The Court examined the petition and the relevant administrative context and concluded that the Aurangabad Bench was the appropriate forum. Accordingly, the Court ordered that the petition be transferred to the Aurangabad Bench for further proceedings. No substantive merits of the petition were decided.
