Holding
The writ petition is infructuous and is disposed of because the underlying criminal case resulted in acquittal.
Summary
The petitioner filed a criminal writ petition in 2022 challenging a criminal proceeding (R.C.C. No. 273 of 2019) pending before a trial court. The petitioner failed to appear for hearings and did not circulate the petition for several years. The respondent State produced the trial court judgment dated 10 January 2023, which acquitted the petitioner and the co-accused. The court observed that, in view of the acquittal, the writ petition had become infructuous. Consequently, the High Court disposed of the petition as infructuous.
