The petition was dismissed as there was no surviving claim or issue warranting judicial intervention.

Summary

Ashokkumar Shrinavasarao Kolgani filed a criminal writ petition seeking a court direction to restrain the self‑proclaimed investigation by Ibrahimpathan Police Station in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. The petitioner alleged that the investigation was unauthorized and requested the court to intervene. The court noted that no notices had been issued to the respondents and a report from resource personnel indicated that the petitioner’s counsel considered the matter insignificant. In the absence of any substantive issue or relief to be granted, the court held that nothing survived in the petition. Consequently, the petition was disposed of without any order of direction.
