The petitioner may approach the Grievance Committee, which must decide the appeal on its merits after hearing.

Summary

The petitioner, Riyazoddin Fatroddin Jamadar, filed a writ petition in the Bombay High Court seeking relief against the State of Maharashtra. The Court examined the appropriate forum for redress and directed the petitioner to approach the Grievance Committee constituted under the Government Resolution dated 27.03.2024. The Court further ordered that any appeal to the Committee must be decided on its merits after giving the petitioner a hearing, and that the Committee should decide expeditiously. No substantive merits of the petition were adjudicated by the Court. The petition was therefore disposed by directing the petitioner to the grievance mechanism.
