Holding

The court held that the petition may be withdrawn and the petitioner may pursue his grievance before the Sub-Divisional Officer, who must decide it expeditiously.

Summary

Petitioner Pramod Waman Pagare filed a writ petition seeking leave to withdraw the petition and to pursue his grievance before the Sub-Divisional Officer, alleging that the matter had been pending for a long time. The petitioner requested the court to direct the concerned authority to decide the grievance expeditiously. The court considered whether the petitioner could be allowed to withdraw the writ petition and approach the Sub-Divisional Officer. It found no impediment to granting the withdrawal and emphasized the need for a swift decision by the Sub-Divisional Officer. Consequently, the petition was dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty granted to the petitioner to raise all grievances before the Sub-Divisional Officer, who was directed to decide the matter as quickly as possible.
