The writ petition is dismissed, with the interim protection to continue for six weeks.
Summary
Dr. Pramod Ranoji Shinde filed a writ petition before the Bombay High Court, Aurangabad Bench, challenging actions of the State of Maharashtra. The petition sought relief and questioned the grant of interim protection. The Court observed that the matter was identical to the petitions decided in Writ Petition No. 6549 of 2026 (Dr. Maya Raghunath Kagne v. State of Maharashtra). Relying on the detailed reasoning in that earlier order, the Court dismissed the present petition. However, it ordered that the interim protection already granted continue for a further six weeks from the date of the order.
Issues considered
- Whether the writ petition should be dismissed in view of the decision in Writ Petition No. 6549 of 2026?
- Whether the interim protection granted to the petitioner should be continued for six weeks?
