The exoneration order rendering the suspension period as duty obviates the need for further adjudication of the writ petitions.

Summary

The petitioners, Ashok Shrirang Godase and Rajkumar Revansidha Bamane, challenged an order dated 29 November 2023 that suspended them pending a departmental enquiry by the Chief Executive Officer of Pune Zilla Parishad. The respondents later issued an order on 28 November 2025 exonerating the petitioners and directing that the suspension period be treated as a period on duty. The court noted that, in view of the exoneration order, there was no further issue to adjudicate. Consequently, the writ petitions were disposed of without any costs. The court directed that the service records of the petitioners be updated to reflect the exoneration and the treatment of the suspension period as duty.
