Holding

The writ petition was held to be infructuous as the matrimonial dispute had been settled before the Lok Adalat.

Summary

The petitioner, Tushar Suresh Aadne, filed a writ petition challenging an order dated 27 October 2023 passed by the Civil Judge Senior Division, Shrirampur, in Hindu Marriage Petition No. 178 of 2022. The marriage petition had been settled by the parties before the Lok Adalat, and a settlement order dated 28 September 2024 was placed before the High Court. The petitioner sought relief against the civil court's order despite the settlement. The High Court examined the record and noted that the matter had already been resolved through the Lok Adalat settlement. Consequently, the Court held that there was no remaining issue for adjudication in the writ petition. The petition was therefore declared infructuous and disposed of.
