Bombay High Court

MANMEET SANTOSH SHETTYversusSTATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND ORS

Decided
Disposal
Disposed Off

Holding

The petition lacks merit and is dismissed.

Summary

The petitioner, Manmeet Santosh Shetty, filed a writ petition seeking transfer of the investigation of crime No.79 of 2023, alleging that a photocopy of a document (page 30) annexed to the supplementary charge-sheet warranted such transfer. The High Court examined the arguments presented and found them redundant and unconvincing. It held that the investigation conducted by the investigating agency was proper and that any need for the original document could be addressed by the trial magistrate calling for it from the concerned authority. Consequently, the Court concluded that there were no merits in the petition. The petition was therefore dismissed.
