Bombay High Court
VIJAYKUMAR BALAJIRAO MOREversusTHE SECRETARY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND OTHERS
- Disposal
- DISPOSED OFF
Holding
The petition is dismissed, following the precedent set in Writ Petition No. 6549 of 2026.
Summary
Dr. Vijaykumar Balajirao More filed a writ petition challenging actions of the Secretary, Public Health Department and G.T. Hospital. The Court observed that the matter was identical to the earlier Writ Petition No. 6549 of 2026 (Dr. Maya Raghunath Kagne vs. State of Maharashtra) where similar petitions were dismissed. Relying on that precedent, the Court dismissed the present petition. However, the interim protection granted on 01.03.2023 was ordered to continue for another six weeks from the date of this judgment. The decision was delivered by Justices Nitin B. Suryawanshi and Abasaheb D. Shinde.
Issues considered
- Whether the petitioner is entitled to the relief sought against the Secretary, Public Health Department and G.T. Hospital.
